It does require you install Java on your computer, but once you have Java installed, you open the tabula.jar file in Java then go localhost:8080 in your favorite web browser, open the PDF, select the table in the browser, and click download CSV and open it in Excel. Super easy!

Good Evening – January 17, 2022

Good afternoon! After the snow last night, things are melting quickly on this Martin Luther King Day. ❄️

We got a half foot of snow, but it was so warm that it didn’t take long for the snow to melt. I shoveled off the truck, looked at all the rust spots that are appearing, and cleaned up around the doorway and the truck. The landlord’s contractor came by and finished up driveway, and it should be good once things freeze up tonight.

Mostly cloudy, around 36 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁️ There is a south-southeast breeze at 13 mph. πŸƒ. There are 6 inches of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 5 pm. β˜ƒοΈ

I do need to wash the salt off my truck, 🚘 but I doubt I can make it home from the car wash without getting things covered with road salt. It’s just tough this time of year when everything is so salty. 🚿 I went shopping yesterday, so I am good for the week but I might try to get to the car wash this week if the roads aren’t too salty and maybe return beer cans, which have been sitting in my kitchen since camping in December. ♻️

Today wasn’t as cold and windy as expected 🌬 and for a while the sun actually came out and it was pretty nice for cleaning up the snow. But it sure was a heavy wet, back-breaking snow to shovel. If there was much more moisture in that snow, it would have been rain. It’s just an La Nina year, in our warming climate, so when it cold enough to snow, it’s bound to be super sloppy. Going to get cold this week it appears though.

Yesterday, I got in 17,000 steps between Partridge Run and doing my evening walk πŸ‘£ which was good. Today I’ll try to do the super block, so that will probably count for like 5,000 steps plus whatever I got in while shoveling, when I didn’t have my phone on to meter me. 🀳 It’s really not as bitterly cold as they once predicted with the wind, but I wish there was more sun. 😎 Didn’t last for long. I want to be out too before all that snow melt turns to black ice.

I went out to my parents house for Sunday dinner, 🍽 and had a nice meal of stew and did my wash out there. πŸ‘• I have been typically coming out for Sunday lunch as I don’t like driving in the dark, but I wanted to get out and do some hiking in the nice weather before the snow came in. πŸŒƒ Fortunately, the drive home wasn’t super dark. Some nights can be so dark. No moon, but I think with the clouds and the light reflecting off the city, it just wasn’t super dark. I took NY 32 all the way back to city, which is a much easier drive.
