Ended up deciding to go for walk at Thacher Park this afternoon, the long loop around the OSI Parcel. I thought about going out to Partridge Run WMA but I don’t have any gas in my truck and it’s a bit of a trip out there. Plus I knew it wouldn’t be long before it got cold, dark and gray.
For the most part it’s a fairly nice day, I’ve only run into a few people despite it being a holiday for many people. Spent some time observing the wildlife and the birds. Kind of a cold breeze blowing at times though. Haze and clouds now are picking up.
Every day I’m trying to get more steps in, hoping to build back what I may have lost during those autumn months in North Syracuse. I’m glad I’ve had the long weekend and a few days off yesterday, but I’m also glad to be back at work tomorrow as it’s been kind of boring, especially on the long nights. I kind of miss my Albany office with the great views of the sunset. Tonight, I plan to go shopping and then down to the library to catch up on the internet.
Next weekend or maybe the subsequent weekend I will get out of town. I might even take off a few days for that if the weather is good. I have some time to burn before the end of the year. I just wasn’t ready for snow camping this weekend, and setting up and taking camp down – along with packing and unpacking things is a lot of work. Sure I’d like a nice fire in the wilderness but lately I’ve been kind of tied, as recovery from those long stressful days of work in the field don’t come as easy as they once did. I kind of just want to get out of the big city and seeing more of the small towns, but as of now that trip may not happen until spring time.
Enjoy Watching Youtube Videos about Agriculture
I enjoy watching Youtube videos about agriculture and farming, because it’s interesting to see how the land and it’s management come together to produce the food we all eat and enjoy. It’s fun to learn about the technology, the techniques, and the people that make it happen. Many people aren’t aware how technologically advanced agriculture has become, or how much goes into protecting the soils and resources for generations to come.
