No Advertising Here

While I could probably make a few hundred bucks a year on my blog, I choose not to do advertising because I find it to be kind of annoying. πŸ› My blog isn’t that expensive to pay for the hosting, maybe $100 a year, πŸ•Έand it gives me an outlet to share my experiences and continue to expand my knowledge of GIS and mapping through practical experience. πŸ—Ί I don’t have internet at home, instead using public hotspots and my phone, so I figure the cost of hosting is far less then what I would pay for general internet.

Today has been a fairly cool day, only warming up to the low 50s. 🌀 We had some breaks of sun, but now it looks like it’s clouding back up again. Then again, such weather really isn’t that uncommon for the second half of October I guess. πŸ‚

The youngest part of New York State is the many college (SUNY Albany, Alfred, Purchase, Oswego, Fordham, Stoney Brook, etc.) and military (Fort Drum, West Point) census tracts, along the Borough Park and Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Some of the oldest parts of New York at the Adirondack Park, the Western Catskills, and the Western Finger Lakes. Reds and oranges are older median age, while blue and greens are younger median age.
