September 30, 2016 Morning

Good morning! Today is a Friday and also the last day of September Where did that monthΒ go so darn quickly? Cloudy, damp, and a few showers on and off and 56 degrees in North Syracuse. There is a east breeze at 9 mph. The dew point is 44 degrees. We are in a for a long period of cloudy skies that will last most of weekend, but I’m not expecting a real washout. The skies will clear Tuesday around 4 pm.

Went for a nice little walk in the undeveloped part of Green Lakes State Park, up on the hills,Β where there are several sweeping views of the valleys below.Β Got stuck in a traffic jam going down there, so it cut into my time for hiking before work, but I still got some nice pictures. The rain for the most part held off, but I do want to explore the area further in the coming weeks.

Today will have a chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high of 60 degrees at 2pm. Six degrees below normal. Maximum dew point of 45 at 2pm. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. The record high of 88 was set in 1905. The sun will set at 6:45 pm with dusk around 7:14 pm, which is 1 minutes and 47 seconds earlier than yesterday. Today will have 11 hours and 43 minutes of daylight, a decrease of 2 minutes and 55 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low of 53 degrees at 1am. Eight degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 48 at 2am. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. The record low of 28 occurred back in 1993.

There isΒ 1Β month until National Candy Corn Day when the sun will be setting at 5:57 pm with dusk at 6:27 pm.
