The Late Monday Update.

Good Morning. The Work Week Rolls Back Around Again. I got my truck back Saturday afternoon and it seems to be working pretty good. Having some issues with the truck cap interior lights, specifically the wire that brings the juice back there from the second battery, but other then that things are looking pretty good. I took it up to Beaver Pond Road in Berne, to ensure I had no rattles or loose parts.

The shop does need to fix the driver’s seat, which no longer reclines and is stuck fully up position from crash damage, but they didn’t seem to think this would involve anything more then dropping the truck off in the morning and picking it up in the evening. Going to call and check into this morning.

Today was a pleasant morning, and a good walk down to but tomorrow the heat is supposed to creep up to hot and humid temperatures. Been a pretty cool August so that’s kind of surprising to have the heat as we slide into the month of September. But who knows, it might be a sticky month in September. Going downtown this morning there is a bit of fog, which is surprising as even in Delmar there is no fog. It certainly doesn’t feel particularly humid.

Looking forward to getting up to Moose River Plains this Labor Day Weekend. I might not make it up there for the full weekend, but at least get away for the bulk of the weekend if all goes well. Thinking of leaving before dawn on Saturday morning to get up there, and coming back mid-day Monday.

The bus was really roaring like a jet engine at the Park and Ride lot. I think the idle speed on the brand new bus must be set a bit high. It also wasn’t doing a very good job at air conditioning while idling. Many of the drivers at the Park and Ride lot just shut the bus off, because they have a long layover between getting out +there, and when they leave for Downtown Albany.
