Stone Ponies floating down a creek on a rubber truck intertube 🐴 πŸ›Ÿ πŸ₯

Singing along with Linda Ronstadt and the Different Drummer floating down East Canada Creek carefully studying the clouds and the greens of the forest and the bubbles of the creek. “So don’t do me wrong, it’s not that I’m not market… Yes and I ain’t saying you ain’t pretty… I’m saying I’m not saying I’m ready for any person, place or thing trying to place the reins on me.”

And that was Independence Day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ spent so stoned floating down the East Canada Creek above the Potholers. I spent more half of the just on that tube πŸ›Ÿ just listening to Frank Zappa records watching the clouds float overhead. 🧴I didn’t bring the new tube of sunscreen to the Potholers 🌞 trying to get the last out of the old container before I burnt it up last night πŸ”₯ and I didn’t have a lot left and I was afraid I’d be sunburnt by morning. πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ But I was fine though my back was a bit ichy maybe from the rubber or where the sunscreen rubbed off or where I find hard to reach and apply.

Did some reading along the shoreline, πŸ“š and around 4:30 hiked back to camp β›Ί. Came back, laid on the hammock for a bit, fried up some salmon, spinach and onions 🐟πŸ₯—πŸ§… for dinner. Read a bit more then rode my bike 🚲 down to the Potholers, it was a blast going down. πŸŒ‡ Laid in the falls, wandered around them listening to music 🎢 until nearly dark at nine o’clock when I headed back to my bike and rode back to camp. Started a camp fire, πŸ‘» had another good toke or two, lit off a bunch of fireworks πŸŽ‡ and sparklers and went to bed around midnight.

Today I’m taking down camp β›Ί and heading into Dolgeville for ice 🧊 and ice cream 🍦. I could probably go another day before I move on but it makes sense to break the weekend in two, and I figured it would good to check my email πŸ“§ and give me a chance to set up a new campsite before the weekend crowds arrive. No smoking 🚭 until I get camp set up this afternoon. I thought about Stewart Landing but I think I’d rather try to get a site closer to Powley Place to enjoy the stars ✨ tonight, assuming the clouds part.
