So yeah, the pipe dream is over ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ผ

I’m up and going. In a bit of a fog as my phone is down and I don’t have a radio or any access to the outside world, but I’m doing the best I can. Best to head into work, make some more money, so he can spend more time floating in the tube, looking up at the clouds.

Sunday was super nice up at Powley Place and the Potholers. ๐ŸŠ Warm but not obnoxiously hot. ๐Ÿซก The bugs weren’t bad, the skies a deep blue. I got a nice tan but didn’t get sunburnt as I used plenty of sunscreen. It was a relaxing day, and even found some wild blueberries to snack on. ๐Ÿงด Back to work shortly, need to continue reviewing that big stack of resumes. ๐Ÿ“„

It’s not all bad, it’s the middle of summer, and this week I will determine when I will do summer vacation. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ It could be as soon as a week from Friday, or maybe in two weeks. I don’t want to get into August as the days start getting shorter plus I will have a lot more data work to do for the campaign committee. ๐Ÿ’ป๏ธ Just an ordinary trip out to the Finger Lakes, leave early on a Friday to get that campsite I want — hopefully — in the National Forest for nine nights. ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Probably have to work a bit while I’m out there but the Watkins Glen Library is good for that.

Got home around 9:45 PM as I didn’t leave the Schoharie Crossing to a bit after quarter to nine. ๐Ÿšต I also didn’t make it all that out to Canajahoharie on my bike, in part because I didn’t get to the Schoharie Crossing until almost six o’clock as I ended up staying longer at the Potholers then expected. It was a nice ride, although that section of the Erie Canalway is hardly the most exciting. ๐Ÿฎ Ended up turning back at Sparkers were the rail trail crosses NY 5S, near the Thruway Rest Stop on the river. Rode around a bit of Fultonville, took some pictures of the downtown. ๐ŸŒ†

My cellphone power button quit working on Saturday night, and I soaked my phone even more when I was floating on the tube come Sunday. ๐Ÿ“ฒI didn’t think my phone got too wet when I was in the tube, but honestly I wasn’t partiuclarly careful noting that my phone was already toast with the broken power button — the only way after Saturday night I could even get the screen to start up was to either plug it into a charger or have an event like an alarm wake it up. โฐ My temporary solution before I got it soaked was to disable the automatic power saving. But I knew that was at best a temporary solution, and i will finally break down and order another phone today. ๐Ÿค‘ It won’t be fancy but at least I won’t be dealing with a touch screen firing at random.
