I have a small fire 🔥 out back at my parents house, tiny compared to my neighbors fire and I’m sitting by the heater. It’s getting a bit chilly and I’m tired as I stayed up late last night so I don’t know how late I’ll stay up tonight. 🐶 Dog is snuggling close on this cold night.

Camping at my parents house remind me a lot of camping at one of the state forest campgrounds ⛺, they’re usually not packed but it’s not the wilderness experience where you can listen to music as loud as you want 🎶, burn whatever suits you in a big ass fire 🔥. Maybe next weekend depends on the weather. Looks though like it might be rainy ☔ next weekend.

It was nice hiking at Peebles Island this afternoon, but it was crowded there and hardly a wilderness experience.🚽Worst of all was I kind of had to go pee and the bathrooms were all locked — one is a seasonal bathroom and visitor center was cloesd on a Saturday. They really should have some kind of outhouse — maybe I should have walked over to Waterford to the canal center, but I was able to hold it until I got home.🙄

Hopefully I won’t get Lyme.

The earliest models for next week don’t look real nice 💦but things could change. If the weather is nice I may take a long weekend to camp, hike and hunt. I’m thinking about Stoney Brook Campground in Morrisville / Nelson but I could consider the Adirondacks too. 🗻 A real campfire in the wilderness would be nice.

If I wasn’t house sitting 🐶🐔🙀 for the parents and I didn’t have the Pine Bush hike I’d probably have headed out of town… Maybe next weekend I’ll take a long weekend, gotta lol to see how much more vacation time I have to use before the end of the year and my work load. 💼

I didn’t originally like how the shoulder strap is short and I have to carry my lunch in a separate bag but I’ve gotten use to it. 🎒You can guess what happened to the old bag, fire not landfill.

I often read 📖 and sometimes share those paid articles that I see about personal finance. Some are good, most are kind selling shit. 💩 They often talk about the importance of saving to buy a home – which I’m doing 🏡 but I can’t imagine owning a home and land unless is off grid and has enough land where I can raise livestock 🐐🐓🐷 and burn my own trash 🔥 without bothering the neighbors in a state that protects my second amendment rights 🔫. My parents have decent neighbors but they’re too close in my opinion
