June 11, 2021 1 PM Update

Good afternoon! Partly cloudy and 68 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ›… There is a south-southeast breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 48 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 11 am.

I worked 21 hours yesterday into this morning ๐Ÿ˜ด so my sleep patterns are super messed up especially after my decision to get up early on Thursday to see the eclipse. ๐ŸŒ™The 5 am eclipse made me end up getting like 4 hours of sleep broken into two hour time periods before working 21 hours which was just awful. These late night legislative sessions are tough as I get older ๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿผ. I totally get why people retire early in my industry.

This afternoon will be mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฅ, with a high of 71 degrees at 2pm. Seven degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 16th. Maximum dew point of 53 at 6pm. South wind around 7 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. It was somewhat humid. The high last year was 88 degrees. The record high of 94 was set in 1947.

This afternoon I have my counselor appointment. ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€โš•๏ธI did my homework, I’m prepared. I’m learning a lot, taking action steps to make my life better. I’m not really sure how beneficial this all is but you don’t have to totally nuts ๐Ÿคช to benefit from some talk therapy – the pandemic has been tough – I’m turning 40 and I need to reevaluate a lot of things in my life especially as I’m now a mid level professional with a good salary. Plus I really need to spend more time discussing my pyromania ๐Ÿ”ฅ and bouncing off ideas on how to make my future better. I want to build on my successes and become a stronger individual. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Tonight will have a New ๐ŸŒš Moon with 1% illuminated. At 1 PM, the moon was in the southeast (141ยฐ) at an altitude of 70ยฐ from the horizon, some 248,827 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. ๐Ÿš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by December 17th. Buckle up for safety! ๐Ÿ’บ The moon will set in the borthwest (306ยฐ) at 9:59 pm. The Strawberry ๐Ÿ“ Moon is on Thursday, June 24. The darkest hour is at 12:56 am, followed by dawn at 4:43 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:18 am in the east-northeast (57ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 27 seconds. Sunrise is 7 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:01 am with sun in the east-northeast (64ยฐ). Tonight will have 8 hours and 43 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 38 seconds over last night.

We will see, I might do my evening walk ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธas I haven’t done that in a few days although I did do a morning walk earlier. I also need to do some cleaning ๐Ÿงผ as I’ve noticed some mildew popping up and things didn’t get well cleaned after I got back late from the Adirondacks on Tuesday and worked those marathon hours at work on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Tonight will be scattered showers, mainly after 11pm. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 56 degrees at 4am. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around June 10th. Maximum dew point of 55 at 4am. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 55 degrees. The record low of 38 occurred back in 1972.

In four weeks on July 9 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (302ยฐ) at 8:34 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is one minute and 26 seconds later then today. In 2020 on that day, we had hot, humid, partly sunny and temperatures between 94 and 73 degrees. I think last time I was up at Piseco-Powley Road at the Potholers. It was hot. I was that Vermont? Typically, you have temperatures between 84 and 62 degrees. The record high of 103 degrees was set back in 1936.

Looking ahead, World Population Day ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง is a month away, Last Sunset After 8:30 PM ๐ŸŒ† is in 5 weeks, Labor Day Weekend Begins ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿญ is in 12 weeks, 6:30 Sunrise ๐ŸŒ‡ is in 13 weeks, September 11th ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ is in 3 months, Constitution Day ๐Ÿ“œ is in 14 weeks, October ๐ŸŽƒ is in 16 weeks, Average High is 65 ๐Ÿ‚ is in 17 weeks, Harvest Moon ๐ŸŒ• is in 19 weeks, Veterans Day ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ is in 5 months, Full Moon ๐ŸŒ• is in 23 weeks, Buy Nothing Day ๐Ÿ›๏ธ is in 24 weeks, 7:15 AM Sunrise โŒ›๏ธ is in 26 weeks and Christmas Eve ๐ŸŽ… is in 28 weeks.

June 10, 2021 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. Well, Thursday round number 3. It was Thursday morning when I left the office ๐Ÿข at one AM then Thursday morning when I went out to Five Rivers to see the solar eclipse and its still Thursday when I’m catching the bus downtown probably until Friday morning. ๐ŸŒ… I’m going to spend the night I expect/ Two weeks to Strawberry Moon ๐ŸŒ• . Mostly sunny and 67 degrees in Bethlehem, NY. There is a north breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 52 degrees.

I have to say that the solar eclipse was well worth it to get up so early ๐ŸŒ˜ even if I didn’t get any real good photos. But there are so many good pictures on social media to look at. Getting up at 5 am wouldn’t have been such a big deal if I hadn’t gotten to bed ๐Ÿ› at such late hour. It’s been a long time since I have driven home so tired, ๐Ÿ˜ดbarely caring about the traffic lights.๐ŸšฆTonight I don’t think I’ll run home ๐Ÿก and get my truck if I’m late in the office ๐Ÿข but will nap on my desk and catch the bus ๐Ÿš safely home in the morning.

Today will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 79 degrees at 2pm. One degree above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 12th. Maximum dew point of 52 at 9am. North wind around 7 mph. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies. It became humid as the day progressed. The high last year was 86 degrees. The record high of 96 was set in 2008. Now this would be a nice day for working out in the woods, but I am in the office. ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ’ผ Tomorrow though maybe I can work from home.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:56 pm with sun having an altitude of 70.4° from the due south horizon (-0.4° vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.1 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:51 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (296°). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (303°) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:33 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 27 seconds with dusk around 9:07 pm, which is 34 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:53 pm. At sunset, look for mostly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 72 degrees. The dew point will be 51 degrees. There will be a north-northeast breeze at 5 mph. Today will have 15 hours and 15 minutes of daytime, an increase of 44 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 52 degrees at 5am. Four degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 29th. Maximum dew point of 51 at 8pm. Light and variable wind becoming southeast around 6 mph after midnight. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies. It was very sticky. It got down to 61 degrees. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1980.

On this day in 1964, United States Senate breaks a 75-day filibuster against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, โš– leading to the bill’s passage. Amazing how broken air conditioning can lead to major civil rights accomplishments. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ Sometimes you just got to sweat it out.

A decent weekend on tap but watch out for thunderstorms โ›ˆ. Saturday, isolated showers before 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. North wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Maximum dew point of 57 at 9am. Sunday, a chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Maximum dew point of 62 at 11am. Typical average high for the weekend is 79 degrees.

I haven’t heard back from dad if he wants to do the Gas Up this weekend, ๐Ÿšœ but I might go out on my own. If I do myself, I’ll take my hammock and probably overnight at one of state forests out that way. Maybe Cotton Hill or maybe somewhere else. The nights are short and hopefully the bugs won’t be bad especially with cooler weather and not much humidity expected on Saturday at least.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Latest Sunset ๐ŸŒ† when the sun will be setting at 8:37 pm with dusk at 9:12 pm. On that day in 2020, we had humid, partly sunny, rain showers and temperatures between 85 and 65 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 82 degrees. We hit a record high of 96 back in 1943.

June 3, 2021 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. Three weeks to Strawberry Moon ๐Ÿ“ ๐ŸŒ• . I should I get out to Schoharie and get strawberries. Maybe after the Mine Kill Pool is open. ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ Partly cloudy and 59 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ›… Looks stormy to the south west. โ›ˆ I had better bring my umbrella today. There is a south-southeast breeze at 6 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 56 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 5 pm.

Out for the morning walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป, not quite as early as yesterday by still fairly early as I have to get my suit on ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซ and catch the bus ๐Ÿš downtown. Yesterday was a pretty long day at work but it is done and I expect a earlier day home ๐Ÿก today. Tomorrow at this time I should be well on my way to Lake Pleasant for a long weekend if remote work. I need to buy a few things tonight and I might do my wash ๐Ÿ‘š so my work clothes are clean when I get home, so I can return late Monday or Tuesday night and avoid as much of the heat wave as possible.

Yesterday I forgot my umbrella โ˜” mainly because I didn’t believe it would be raining much when I got out of work. But it was drizzling a bit when I left the office ๐Ÿข but at least the bus shelter is just a short walk away and the bus drops me off right by my apartment. Who knows. I am not sure where my rain coat ๐Ÿงฅ is, I wonder if I left it at my parents house.

I am thinking I will need to get my suit jacket dry cleaned ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซ in two weeks. I fear ๐Ÿ˜ฑ what the prices will be for dry cleaning at this point after the pandemic is over and all the losses built in price. Inflation is kicking in, often in sneaky ways. ๐Ÿ’ต But I guess I’ve saved a shit ton of money by not needing any dry cleaning since early 2020.

Today will be scattered showers before noon, then scattered showers and thunderstorms between noon and 5pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a high of 72 degrees at 4pm. Four degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 19th. Maximum dew point of 63 at 5pm. South wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 81 degrees. The record high of 97 was set in 1925.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:55 pm with sun having an altitude of 69.7ยฐ from the due south horizon (-1.1ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.2 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:47 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (295ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (302ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:29 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 24 seconds with dusk around 9:02 pm, which is 45 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:47 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and thunderstorms ๐ŸŒฉ and temperatures around 69 degrees. The dew point will be 62 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 8 mph. Today will have 15 hours and 9 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 10 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. ๐ŸŒง Low of 63 degrees at 3am. Eight degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 63 at 6pm. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ South wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 59 degrees. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1947.

Just a hot ol summer weekend as the first heat wave gets underway. ๐Ÿ– Saturday, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Sunset at Swamp Along Silver Run

May 27, 2021 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. โ˜บ Nice morning, getting closer to the weekend. Heading downtown in a bit after my morning walk. Four weeks to Strawberry Moon ๐ŸŒ• . Mostly sunny and 63 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 10 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 56 degrees.

Decided to go for my morning walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป early this morning at seven o’clock just because I wanted to walk on such a nice morning before I take a shower ๐Ÿšฟ and catch the local downtown. ๐ŸšIf the express bus stop was back, I’d probably call that my walk and be done. But it’s not back yet. I was talking to a bunch of regular 719 riders and they miss the service too but once again riding the 5:15 neither the reduced local bus service crowded or highway congestion wasn’t bad at all. ๐Ÿš I think a lot of people are still either doing the hybrid model or full remote.

It is a nice morning, too bad it’s an office ๐Ÿข day. But as that Cattaraugus County farm I follow on the YouTube always, I can’t control my day but I can my attitude. And I bet he doesn’t have to pay the big bucks to see his analyst, as he has cows to poop ๐Ÿ’ฉ on him while milking ๐Ÿฎ and soak him with his wet tongue. I am glad that I got an early enough start to do my walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป and hear the Morning Dove ๐Ÿ•Š and the many Red Wing Blackbirds. I kind of like having the unlimited data on the bus ๐Ÿš as that movie I was watching on the way home about rebuilding an old 1940s manure spreader certainly passed the time and it’s interesting how they used to build old farm equipment and how at least on the farm not everything is a throw away society. ๐Ÿ—‘

Today will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 72 degrees at 2pm. Two degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 19th. Maximum dew point of 56 at 7am. Northwest wind around 11 mph. So much nicer than yesterday. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. It was somewhat humid. The high last year was 89 degrees. The record high of 94 was set in 1914.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:54 pm with sun having an altitude of 68.7° from the due south horizon (-2.1° vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.3 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:41 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (294°). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (301°) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:23 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 21 seconds with dusk around 8:56 pm, which is 53 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:40 pm. At sunset, look for mostly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 62 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 9 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 59 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 32 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy ๐ŸŒค, with a low of 44 degrees at 5am. Eight degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 4th. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph becoming north after midnight. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It became sticky as the night progressed. It got down to 68 degrees. The record low of 33 occurred back in 1994.

Memorial Day Weekend looks increasingly cold, cloudy and rainy. ๐ŸŒฆ Saturday, a chance of rain, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. Brr, that’s cold for April. And it’s almost June. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Maximum dew point of 40 at 7pm. Maybe a little better up north sunshine wise, but very cold. Typical average high for the weekend is 75 degrees.

I think I am going to stay in town this Memorial Day Weekend ๐Ÿก as rent is due this week, money is quite tight and frankly the weather doesn’t look great. I haven’t hiked out to Five Rivers in a few weeks and it would interesting to see how the spring birds ๐Ÿฆ have changed as migration is winding down and summer birds are out. I feel like after the heavy rain on Friday things might be muddy but a good time for wildlife observation. I’m hoping for warm weather come June at any rate for visiting the Potholers ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿป‍โ™‚๏ธ. Rather save gas until then. โ›ฝ I am thinking I might also work downtown in the office tomorrow — mainly because it’s going to be a cold and rainy day, they want us in the office more, and to save data. I know they want us in the office more, and the two days I am currently assigned is  more of a minimum then a maximum. I’ll have to think about it more as the day progresses.

Looking ahead, there are 4 weeks until Latest Sunset ๐ŸŒ† when the sun will be setting at 8:37 pm with dusk at 9:12 pm. On that day in 2020, we had humid, partly sunny, rain showers and temperatures between 85 and 65 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 82 degrees. We hit a record high of 96 back in 1943.

Untitled [Expires June 29 2024]

May 24, 2021 Morning

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. ๐Ÿ’ผ Working from home today and it should be a nice one. Six weeks to Hottest Time of the Year ๐Ÿ˜…. Mostly sunny and 51 degrees in Delmar, NY. Calm wind. The dew point is 44 degrees.

This morning I’m heading over to John Wolcott’s house with a few others and the fire inspector ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿš’to see what historic artifacts can be salvaged. Never did find that Fort Orange letter we were looking for and unfortunately the fire burned up the room with the archives the most. Then heading home to remote work ๐Ÿ’ป. Probably though want to shower ๐Ÿšฟ first after I get home.

Today will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 71 degrees at 3pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 16th. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 79 degrees. The record high of 92 was set in 1964.

Wednesday and Thursday I’ll be in the office ๐Ÿข downtown and maybe Friday depending on the weather ๐ŸŒจ. I cut my hot spot data plan in half so internet at home is just going to be for work when I need it. Library is open for in person masked use so I can also work down there too. The desks ๐Ÿ–ฅ and computers are open now, although I always just use my own laptop. ๐Ÿ”‹ Really need to address that battery life issues I’m having.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:53 pm with sun having an altitude of 68.2ยฐ from the due south horizon (-2.6ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.4 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:39 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (293ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (300ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:20 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 19 seconds with dusk around 8:53 pm, which is 56 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the Full ๐ŸŒ Moon in the southeast (137ยฐ) at an altitude of 22ยฐ from the horizon, 226,419 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:36 pm. At sunset, look for mostly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 64 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 9 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 55 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 41 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy ๐ŸŒค, with a low of 50 degrees at 4am. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 23rd. South wind 8 to 10 mph. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 55 degrees. The record low of 30 occurred back in 1956.

Right now, a split verdict on the weekend. ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ Saturday, a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 42 at 7pm. Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Maximum dew point of 45 at 7pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 75 degrees.

The Memorial Day Weekend forecast is improving but I’m not sure if I will stay closer to home or not. ๐Ÿก I kind of want to spend a few nights in the woods but if I wait another week and it’s warm and sunny I might do Piseco Powley Road. Soon the black flies ๐Ÿœ won’t be quite so bad.

As previously noted, next Monday is Memorial Day ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ when the sun will be setting at 8:25 pm with dusk at 8:59 pm. On that day in 2020, we had partly sunny and temperatures between 65 and 46 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 75 degrees. We hit a record high of 92 back in 2013.

Sat out back until nearly midnight ๐ŸŒƒ, as it was kind of a warm evening and it was nice for sitting out back. I ended up watching some YouTube on my phone, working on some blog posts ๐Ÿ“ and just pondering the night away. Sometimes on real hot days I like to stay out back until late.

Good afternoon! Partly sunny and 80 degrees in Saratoga, NY. โ˜” There is a west breeze at 8 mph. ๐ŸŒค๏ธThe dew point is 59 degrees. The skies will clear around 7 pm.

This afternoon I am going to my niece’s birthday ๐ŸŽ‚ party in Saratoga. Then I will go home and I have some work to do. ๐Ÿ“ At least I can work from home. ๐Ÿก Then I’ll probably go down to the river ๐ŸŽฃ to do some fishing. ๐Ÿ  Kind of a hot day. It’s fun to be going to a party with everybody vaccinated so no social distancing. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Even though we wear masks in the elevator at work, along with on the bus, we all know that is for show.

At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and thunderstorms ๐ŸŒฉ and temperatures around 77 degrees. The dew point will be 58 degrees. There will be a west breeze at 9 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 54 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 47 seconds over yesterday.

I ordered more jeans ๐Ÿ‘– and new boots ๐Ÿ‘ข as while my existing boots are okay they are getting worn down and probably only have a few weeks before they really fall apart. I also need jeans without holes and big stains before I go back to the office ๐Ÿข on casual dress days. Need to put my winter clothes back in the closet ๐Ÿงฃ and get out more summer clothes. I should work on repairing my camp lantern ๐Ÿฎ tonight if I have time.

Tonight will have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 65 degrees at 5am. 15 degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 61 at 2am. West wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies. It became humid as the night progressed. It got down to 60 degrees. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1967.

I might need the fan running indoors tonight โ˜ข although I’m not totally sure. Rather save electricity and just sit out back until things cool down a bit. I like being outdoors โœจ which is maybe why I’ve long refused to have air conditioning. Even though it’s hot now by evening it should be pretty nice out back with a cold glass of water. ๐Ÿฅ›

I was pretty set on Friday being my last counseling session ๐Ÿ’ญ but I got talked into doing another in three weeks. I have some better ideas for dealing with my anxiety and keeping things in context and in the grand scheme of things most of my issues pretty minor, I’m quite successful in my career and position pays well but there are still some topics I find difficult to discuss – namely my love of all things fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ – and I need to resolve to advance further in my career. ๐Ÿ’ผ

My off grid property and moving out west are dreams that continue to come closer but I have some unrealistic fears ๐Ÿก and worries I need to address further in my life but there is more to do. I feel like I’m having a hard time communicating with my therapist and I’m spending more and more money ๐Ÿ’ต but I’ve allocated $200 in copay for the process and while I told myself I’d reevaluate at $100 I’m going to give it one more try in three weeks. I just feel like I could do a lot better for myself if I addressed that one issue in my life, so I can take the next step and make more money. I just don’t understand my fear of that one stupid topic.

I cut my cellphone ๐Ÿ“ฑ plan down to the 10 gigabyte Hotspot plan as I find myself using the Hotspot data less now that it’s warmed up and I only used like 6 gigabyte the past month and it was more personal use as most of my work internet is Lexis or bill research and email which doesn’t use much data. ๐Ÿ“ถ Plus the library is now open for in person use with a mask ๐Ÿ˜ท and my ability to work in the office whenever I feel like the need to have a lot of bandwidth at home isn’t necessary but limited access for work emails is important while I’m still working from home or the woods a few days a week. Many days now I’m leaving the laptop at work so I’m not constantly hauling back and forth on the bus ๐Ÿš.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until 8:30 PM Sunset ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ when the sun will be setting with dusk at 9:05 pm. On that day in 2020, we had hot and humid, partly sunny skies with thunderstorm โ›ˆ and temperatures between 85 and 71 degrees. I am thinking Memorial Day Weekend doesn’t look great so that’s my next best chance to get away. Really would like to do Piseco-Powley Road but maybe it makes sense first to do a long weekend, say it, back in Spectulator and remote work ๐Ÿ’ป on the Friday and Monday. Typically, the high temperature is 77 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1925.

I need this flag for camping
