November 6, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Going to be a beautiful day for sure. Next Friday is Average Night Below Freezing 🌌. Sunny and 53 degrees at the Stoney Pond State Park. 🌞 There is a southwest breeze at 10 mph. πŸƒ. The dew point is 44 degrees.

Heading to Cazenovia to work from the library Wi-Fi πŸ“š and then maybe head to Lakefront Park 🏞 on this most beautiful, warm November day. I have a 11 o’clock meeting so I’ll need to be down there by mid day. Then I want to be back to camp before dark. I want to park in the sun so I can recharge my batteries as much as possible before the long night is upon us again.

Today will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 65 degrees at 2pm. 13 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around October 4th. Maximum dew point of 46 at 12pm. Southwest wind 9 to 11 mph. A year ago, we had light rain in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 49 degrees. The record high of 73 was set in 2015. 3.2 inches of snow fell back in 1933.❄

Solar noon 🌞 is at 11:47 am with sun having an altitude of 31Β° from the due south horizon (-39.5Β° vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 10 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour πŸ… starts at 4:09 pm with the sun in the west-southwest (241Β°). πŸ“Έ The sunset is in the west-southwest (249Β°) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:50 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 8 seconds with dusk around 5:18 pm, which is one minute and 10 seconds earlier than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:53 pm. At sunset, look for partly clear skies πŸŒ„ and temperatures around 64 degrees. The dew point will be 46 degrees. There will be a west-southwest breeze at 9 mph. Today will have 10 hours and 4 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 26 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly clear πŸŒƒ, with a low of 45 degrees at 6am. 11 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 2nd. Southwest wind around 9 mph. The days are short πŸŒƒ but with the warm nights, I an sure tonight will be quite pleasant by the fire, assuming that I have enough power. πŸ’‘ It sucks my lantern isn’t working properly but I’m hoping to park in the sun to recharge my batteries today. πŸ”‹

Tomorrow will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 68 degrees at 2pm. 17 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around September 27th. Maximum dew point of 49 at 11am. West wind 6 to 9 mph. A year ago, we had light rain in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 46 degrees. The record high of 75 was set in 1938. 4.5 inches of snow fell back in 1886.❄

Should be a great day on Saturday. ☺ I want to poke around the trails at Chittenango State Park and a few other places and enjoy them as much as possible before it starts to get dark again. Nights sure are long this time of year but I guess that means more time around the campfire. πŸ”₯

Looking ahead to Sunday, sunny, with a high near 68. 🌞 West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Maximum dew point of 48 at 3pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 51 degrees.

Sunday morning I have to take down camp β›Ί as my three nights will have expired. I am going to head home as Monday will be busy and Tuesday is meetings day downtown at work. 🏒 It would be nice to see mom and dad on Sunday too.
