Good morning! Happy Saturday. Finally the weekend! Next Saturday is Small Business Saturday 🛍️. Mostly sunny and 33 degrees in Delmar. There is a west-northwest breeze at 7 mph. 🍃.

This morning I’m heading up to the Adirondacks for an overnight. ⛺ It’s a beautiful day. I’m going to do a bit of hiking today and then maybe hunt a bit tomorrow. 🔫 Little worried about snow on the roads on the way home but little snow is expected up north. Bringing the snow shovel and salt if need be, should be fine though with little to no snow. ❄

Still researching and figuring out which doctor 😷 to visit to address the bullseye from Lyme on my arm. 🙋 I want to get it addressed but I want to visit an in network doctor. My normal doctor office closed 🔐 so I think after calling other doctors the next best option is in network urgent care center like I used when I sprain my ankle four years ago. Feeling okay right now and the tick bite was over a month ago now but I want to address this by next week. I know Lyme can get very severe quickly but I also know visiting the wrong doctor to get medical help can drain a bank account quickly. 🏦

Today will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 42 degrees at 2pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 29th. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 28 degrees. The record high of 72 was set in 1931. 5.0 inches of snow fell back in 1943.❄

Nights are long, I’m leaving shortly. I want to be to camp by noon, so I can set up go for a hike or maybe hunt near camp. Going to make a big pot of macaroni and cheese with tomatoes and corn and extra cheese. 🍲 Have a big ass fire and maybe hot tent 🎪 I’m undecided on the later.

Tonight will have a chance of rain and snow between 11pm and 3am, then freezing rain. 🌧 Low of 32 degrees at 3am. One degree above normal, which is similar to a typical night around November 22nd. South wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. In 2018, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 20 degrees. The record low of 7 occurred back in 2000.

In December I’m still considering a winter camping trip in the Finger Lakes National Forest but that depends on the forecast 🌲and how busy I am during that month with work.

As previously noted, next Saturday is Small Business Saturday 🛍️ when the sun will be setting at 4:23 pm with dusk at 4:54 pm. On that day in 2018, we had mostly sunny, rain showers and temperatures between 45 and 18 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 42 degrees. We hit a record high of 67 back in 1933.
