Good morning! Happy 8 PM Sunset 🌇! Two weeks to Flower Moon 🌕. Cloudy, damp and 55 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ There is a north breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 53 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 7 pm. I think we are done with the rain for the day but not the clouds.

Today will be cloudy 🌦, with a high of 64 degrees at 3pm. Two degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around April 30th. Maximum dew point of 54 at 1pm. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had mostly sunny in the morning, which became partly cloudy by afternoon. It was humid. The high last year was 84 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 1944. There was a dusting of snow in 1986.❄

Not a particularly nice weekend for sure. 😔 But summer is still approaching and I’m somewhat hopeful of getting out next weekend, possibly to the lower portion of Piseco-Powley Road and then down to Moss Island. The following weekend is the Lupine Festival and then Memorial Day Weekend for which if the weather is decent I’m leaning towards the East Branch Sacandaga again. But for this weekend I’ve made no real plans.

In 2018, we had thunderstorm in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 50 degrees. The record low of 29 occurred back in 1974.

I had kind of booked this weekend to see my aunt but she wasn’t feeling well so she didn’t come to town. 👪But I do want to replace the transistor on the light over my bed with the proper type of transistor for more light and less waste. It’s a simple soldering job but I have to pull the light down. 🔬 Maybe do some reading 📖 too.
