March 2, 2016 Night
Good evening! The temperature has dropped to 22 degrees and mostly clear with a 10 mph northwest wind, with gusts up to 25 mph. The wind chill value is currently 11. Brr! I skipped my evening walk as I didn’t want to deal with the cold. These cold nights won’t last for too much longer, or so I hope.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 17. Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph.
Tonight will have 12 hours and 37 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 53 seconds over last night. Tomorrow the sun will rise at 6:24 am with the first light at 5:56 am, which is 1 minutes and 40 seconds earlier then today.
Tonight we will have a Waning Crescent Moon with 42% illuminated. It will rise at 1:09 am. The New Moon is next Wednesday. The stars are pretty clear tonight for sure.
Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph. That wind while not as cold as today, will still feel pretty biting.
I installed the VLC Player on my laptop, in search of a better player for videos controlled by my remote keyboard. Also made some bug fixes on my blog and tweaked some other code. Made up some more maps too. Walked down to the library so I could use my laptop on the Internet.
I hope you had a good day. Mine was fairly decent. Sleep well!
