Good morning on this Hump Day, the first one of March. There is a snow squall passing through but overall it’s 32 degrees with temperatures dropping. Blustery morning, the airport is reporting 27 mph winds with gusts reaching nearly 50 mph. This makes the wind chill around 18. In like a lion comes March.
After the squall, today will be mostly sunny but windy with temperatures dropping to 16 degrees by later this evening. We have likely reached the high for today.

Happy Birthday to Ken Salazar, our country’s 50th secretary of the Department of the Interior. He turns 61 years old today. He’s been retired for a few years now, leaving after the first Obama administration.
Last night didn’t do all that much, instead mostly just staying home, looking at PBS’ special on Man Space, an early mission to space and making up some more maps.
