July 4, 1967 Weather

Independence Day during the Summer of Love in Albany was an amazingly beautiful summer day but a bit cool. Β During 1967, we had brilliant blue skies with a high temperature of only 75 degrees. It was very clear. There was very little humidity, with dew point averaging 53 degrees. It was a big change from the oppressive heat of the first of July, and people across the state were enjoying beautiful picnics and firework shows on this Tuesday afternoon.
