That wind is whipping around a top the mountain but the tower cabin is open and sheltered. About two feet of fresh snow in the area. A bit chilly up here, I will need more layers as the day goes on I expect.

The rest of New Year’s Day will be mostly sunny, with a high of 33 degrees at 1pm. Two degrees above normal. West wind 10 to 13 mph. A year ago, we had snow and a high of 38 degrees. The record high of 57 was set in 1966. 9.2 inches of snow fell back in 1961.
