I think it’s good that the president is prioritizing getting the economy going again. 💰

Protecting the public health is important as is keeping senior citizens and vulnerable citizens but so is economic growth and providing essential services, protecting democracy and tax revenues to local government.

Social distancing not only has an economic cost, it is very detrimental to our civic institutions and communities. It an evil that should go away as soon as possible while still protecting the public’s health through commonsense measures like encouraging people to wash their hands, providing hand sanitizer and cleaning door knobs and providing a few more weeks of isolation for the eldery and frail. It should be remembered as just an unfortunate action that had to be taken for a short period of time to protect our most vulnerable.
