I often wonder how America will be celebrating the Semiquincentennial in five years — July 4, 2026. Will it be a big celebration like 1976 or just a footnote in history? America will have have been a country for a quarter of millennium, which both is very long time and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. 🇺🇸
