Another weekend ahead that almost looks nice enough to head out of town. 🏡 But I think it best to wait for a bit better weather and maybe take off a three-day weekend next week or wait for Memorial Day Weekend. I'm getting tired of all this rain.

Went shopping 🛒 and to the laundromat by eight 👚

Good to get those things done early, gave me a chance to work on the internet on my laptop in the truck while the laundry washed and buy groceries as they dried. The nice thing about the laundromat is my get clothes get fully dried – and quickly which isn’t the case when I visit my folks necessarily.

Great Spring Day

The Albany Pine Bush on a clear spring day, really is one of the best places to be within the city limits, with birds chirping, beautiful views of the mountains, lupine blooming and butterflies flying around. This is the view off of Overlook Dune, near the Discovery Center.

Henry Hudson Park to Hollyhock Preserve

It's a pretty good climb heading up Cedar Hill, especially Beaver Dam Rd and then up through South Bethlehem and Spawn Hollow to the Hollyhock Preserve but it made for a delightful day riding and exploring the woods without using any gasoline.

From Henry Hudson Town Park to Hollyhock 🐦️💮

I decided once again not to do any driving on Saturday and stay closer to home, as the weather looked uncertain for the weekend. I decided instead to ride down to the Henry Hudson Town Park and it by the river for a while reading some e-Books then ride over to Hollyhock Preserve outside of South Bethlehem. It was a bit of a hill but not too bad as my mountain bike has low gears, and it was a blast riding down Collenbeck Hill and the way back home. Spent a lot of time observing wildflowers at Hollyhock and doing a bit more reading. Left a little after 11 AM and got home at about 6:45 PM.
