Good Morning – September 13, 2021
Good morning! Five day work weeks downtown come back around again. π’
Of course I could always decide to take off Friday to head out of town but I have to be a bit careful about how many days I take off if I’m planning on taking off a week to go to West Virginia in a month.
Mostly sunny β and 63 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a northwest breeze at 6 mph. π. The dew point is 60 degrees. A few places around still have fog around.
I am up and going this morning out for my morning walk πΆ although not as early as some days. It’s interesting how just a five 5β£ minutes difference can change the queuing of traffic around the high school πΈ. Fewer idling cars π which is good for air quality, people don’t want to believe that auto exhaust causes cardiac arrest. β₯
It was a decent weekend to get away, βΊ but cooler and less sunny than I had expected. One night – a quick trip to Schoharie isn’t at all like the long weekends I’m accustomed to since the pandemic started. Working downtown makes the weeks go by faster it seems – less free hours with commuting time – but I feel like I prefer the little bit more fixed schedule and seperation between π‘ home and work.
This week I need to bite the bullet and deal with my truck issues. π» It might take a couple of weeks for the tires to arrive and I want Watkins Spring to check the alignment first. I also need to get that left rear shock bushing replaced as that’s loose I discovered over the weekend. Truck is ten years old but I think with some repairs π I can get a few more years out of it.
