Good Morning – October 25, 2021
Good morning! Maybe it won’t be quite as wet as they first predicted. π§
You know the weather man makes his profits selling car advertising by over-hyping the weather. Might though want your umbrella and rain coat for the evening, even if you don’t need it for the morning commute. But so dark to start out the day!
Clouds and 49 degrees in Delmar, NY. βοΈ There is a east-northeast breeze at 5 mph. π.
I didn’t expect to be walking down to the express bus π this morning, but it looks like the rain is going to hold off. But it still is incredibly dark as I sip my coffee β and get ready for a shower πΏ and then to head out to express, assuming it’s not raining again.
Yesterday wasn’t a half bad day walking up at Huyck Preserve. π Still some color in the gorge and around the lake, but it’s fading fast in the high country. Never walked around some of the trails in the far back part of the preserve, very quiet, nobody else up there but a lot of wildlife. Huyck Preserve is over 2,000 acres nowadays, and extends all the ways west to Partridge Run. Some of the hills in the preserve is the highest country in Albany County, only a few feet from highest point in Albany County — Henry Hill is officially the county high peak, although I think the hill on Ms. Lubbin’s property off Pond Hill Road is slightly higher.
