Good morning, Happy Friday

Good morning, Happy Friday. A fairly snowy and icy weekend is rapidly approaching. But wait, there’s more. Before the snow comes on Saturday, we will be having the Save the Pine Bush Hike. It’s going to be a cold morning but hopefully not that chilly for the hike.

Last night’s lecture at the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center on Wild Turkeys by Mike Schiavone was pretty interesting, to get some insight on how the state plans to manage wild turkeys going forward and what is the deal with recent population declines. Glad I went but I wish I had better questions.

Despite the cold, spring is rapidly approaching with trout season opener only 39 days away. Thirteen weeks from now come evening will be Memorial Day Weekend. Some point between those two days is turkey season and if I want a chance to use my turkey tag, I better start to look at gear.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a great weekend. Stay warm and I hope you’ll be joining me at the Save the Pine Bush Hike.
