February 24, 2016 Evening
Good evening! Currently 37 degrees and drizzle with a 3 mph north-northeast wind. All day the weather has been fairly icky.
Tonight look for rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 3am, then rain likely between 3am and 5am, then showers likely after 5am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Temperature rising to around 54 by 1am. South wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Tonight will have 12 hours and 57 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 50 seconds over last night. It is less than a month before we have more daylight than darkness. Nicer weather is on the way.
Tonight we will have a Waning Gibbous Moon with 87% illuminated. It will rise at 7:22 pm. You won’t see it through the clouds. The Last Quarter Moon is on Tuesday and the New Moon is on March 9th.
As expected, today was a pretty busy one. But I made it through it and things are going fairly well. Still chewing over going to the Adirondacks this weekend but want to take a wait and see approach. I need to first straighten out the back of the pickup and get the gear out of the attic. Might go out hiking on Sunday.
I hope your Wednesday is going well. Have a great evening!
