Do you need to load a table in a PDF into an Excel document? You can do it using the free, open source tabula program.
It does require you install Java on your computer, but once you have Java installed, you open the tabula.jar file in Java then go localhost:8080 in your favorite web browser, open the PDF, select the table in the browser, and click download CSV and open it in Excel. Super easy!
There is also tabula bindings for Python and R if you want to do it programmatically.
I continue to be quite fascinated in new ways to look at and present data. There are so many great tools out there, so many interesting things to learn about – and the tools are only getting better.

It’s kind of rare for me to go down to the library to work on my laptop but I did for 45 minutes or so this afternoon – I wanted to download some data plus I just wanted to get out of my apartment for a while this afternoon. It also was a chance to get a few more steps in.
If muzzles weren’t required I’d probably go to the library more but these days I find I can do most things with my phone – and I have hot spot service too. I probably could get home internet but it’s expensive, uses a lot of electricity and I like the walk.
