While Donald Trump won most of Albany County, John Kasich won most of the inner suburbs like Delmar, Slingerlands, Loundville, Menands and Albany's Pine Bush neighborhood, which tend to be a bit more liberal. Rural communities and the outer suburbs tended to go heavily for Donald Trump.
Probably he's avoiding New York so he doesn't have to claim himself as a part time resident and avoid paying New York City and State income tax.
And from what I've read, it doesn't include a carbon tax or eliminate the wasteful home mortage interest tax deduction.
