While it’s true that being impeached is hardly without consequence — it’s a formal rebuke forever in the history books — he’s not going to be fined or forfeit his office for exploiting his office for political gain. If he is re-elected, it’s unlikely he will have learned from his mistake and do something just as stupid again.
