Schoharie County

Schoharie County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2010 census, the population was 32,749. The county seat is Schoharie.

A primarily rural county known for the fertile Schoharie Valley, it is also home to many state forests, including Burnt-Rossman State Forest.

I've been fascinated by the Vromans Nose LiDAR and wanted a more detailed topographic layout with contours for elevation. So this is what I ended up producing.

Age of Buildings in Grand Gorge

I was a bit surprised to see Grand Gorge isn't as old as I thought - there is a central core with buildings from the post Civil War period but many parts of the town were built out in the 20th century.
