This map gives an overview of mountains and lakes that are visible (and not visible) from Wakely Mountain Firetower. I'm new at doing visibility analysis so it's possible that I don't have the visibility completely correct, but it's an interesting experiment.
Forked Lake is home to both a developed reservation and fee campground (green and white) and a handful of primative free campsites (yellow and black) along the lake. There also is a couple of lean tos along the lake.
A beautiful morning at Moose River Plains, crossing the area between the upper entrance to the Mitchell's Pond Snowmobile Trail and beyond the Red River at Moose River Plains.
Those fountains sure are fun! Happy Independence Day (a few days late).
