Bennett Hill Preserve

This 155 acre property was a gift of Dr. Jerry Bilinski of North Chatham in 1998 to the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy. The hill towers over Clarksville, and stands only a short distance from the base of the Helderberg Escarpment. Although the top of the hill is only 400 feet above the surrounding land, it offers striking views of the Helderbergs to the north and west, and Albany to the east.

Mid Afternoon Update, March 30, 2019

It’s kind of nice with the mild weather we are having today, although except for the breaks sun we had during the Save the Pine Bush Hike, I can’t say it’s been sunny but the mercury has been around 65. Warmest weekend day in quite a while.

The Save the Pine Bush Hike was one of the best attended in recent memory, there was like 15 people there. 🚢This afternoon I’m hiking Bennett Hill with the plan later on to head out to my parents house. 🍲 I brought my hammock but so far I’ve not used it. Maybe I should have, the ground is pretty wet.

Bought some groceries but forgot pan spray so I may stop on my way into work on Sunday. I don’t care that much, Sunday is supposed to be quite rainy. β˜”
