December 3, 2015 morning
Good morning on this Thursday. It’s cloudy but mild for early December with temperatures in the range of 44 degrees. The rain has stopped but it’s possible that we can get showers throughout the morning. Winter is coming but it seems like with the high pressure in the air, it has been pushed off for a few weeks. But who knows, we might have a blizzard before you know it.
Later a chance of showers, mainly between noon and 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. West wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
As previously noted, I’ve been thinking of getting out of town this weekend,l because gas is cheap and I think roadside camping opporunties will deminish in the coming weeks with the certain snow that so far has been held off. The forecast is calling for temperatures in the mid-40s on Friday and low-50s on Sunday. I’m seriously contemplating leaving work at 2 PM on Friday so I can get most the way up to camp before darkness. I’m not crazy about driving rural roads in the dark during the rut.
Still working on getting PostGIS working on my laptop. The problem I’m having now is not all the columns names are matching up with the old versions so it’s not plug and play with all my existing QGIS layouts. But I’m sure I’ll eventually figure it out as I like map making.
I’m glad the sun will be coming out later today because lately the weather has been pretty dark and drab. The weekend forecast looks so nice for a change.
