Daily Update – March 17, 2022
Good morning! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day. π
πΉπ»πΌOnly 3 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!πΉπ»πΌ
Partly sunny and 46 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a south breeze at 7 mph. π.
It was nice sleeping with the windows open. π² Hopefully that won’t be long until that is the norm. Not a half bad morning to be kicking off our Saint Patrick’s Day π although it’s expected to turn to rain later, although mostly to the south. β It will probably prove to be foolish to wear a rain coat this morning.
I tell you it was such a bummer to see how much prices have gone up π΅ since the last time I was at the grocery store πbut I guess it was it is. I got the things I need and I shouldn’t have to go anywhere or buy anything until the second half of next week. Cleaned out the tub drain and scrubbed the toilet π½, rubber cemented the trash can lid. β» At some point I’ll have to go to the transfer station maybe early April to get of the cans π₯« and even some recyclable paper and plastic.
Yesterday I ended up getting in close to 20,000 steps πΆ after deciding it was a pleasant evening π under nearly a full moon and it would be nice to go for a walk. I was up until 9:30, later than most nights but I slept in until nearly six 6β£ o’clock.
The warmer weather has me looking forward to doing more traveling βΊ and nights in the wilderness. With inflation so high, I’m thinking I’ll probably do fewer longer trips, and try to camp places where I can stay for several nights using the solar to keep things topped off. Ice can be a problem but I should be able to maintain things even in the hottest weather for three nights which is the limit on most campsites at any rate.
