August 5, 2015 morning
Good morning, Happy Hump Day. It looks like we are up to 67 degrees on this bright sunny morning. Today is expected to warm up to 79 degrees, and will be summer like but a little less hot then recent days. All and all, a beautiful start to the middle of the week.
Got my phone back up and working. Apparently there is a defect on the SD card, which was causing the phone to crash. Iβm trying to get the SD card to reformat, but it seems like the SD card is all locked up, unable to be erased or files deleted β even using Linux and Windows OS on my laptop computer. I ran a full reformat on Windows and Linux, and SD card looks like nothing has changed. At least this time itβs not the phone that died. I had back ups of everything on SD card, and I have most of my programs restored on my Smartphone (just no music or podcasts). I will continue to see if I can I can somehow get the SD card to unlock itself. Probably not, my guess is itβs going to get chucked into a fire somewhere along the way.
Speaking of broken stuff, my truck stopped charging the accessory battery and sending power backwards, after replacing the fuse. It worked for a few hours after replacing the fuse. The fuse looks healthy and the battery relay also is healthy, but I think the fuse holder must have gotten loosen up per what my volt meter is telling me. I did this brief search for problems before work, so I really didnβt get a chance to take apart the fuse holder and tighten things back up. Manure happens, especially with these high amperage circuits, they are a sensitive as all heck.
At least I bought a rivet gun and a proper size rivet to fix my truck cap window support. So that will get fixed hopefully tonight. Along with the battery charging, so I should be set to head out camping the next time that opportunity arrives.
Probably will stay in town this weekend. The weather doesnβt look excessively hot, and I want a chance to unpack and decompress after last weekendβs vacation. I also need to do an oil change. Maybe head down to the Hudson River to kill some time fishing. Possibly on Sunday take my kayak up to North-South Lake in the Catskills for a paddle.
Looking at heading on the weekend of August 20-24 to Lewis County. I would most likely stay up in Otter Creek State Forest and spend the days heading over to Whetstone Gulf State Park for swimming and hiking. I want to explore more of the Otter Creek-area.
