Quite the name for a stream, probably gets it's name from the gurgling roar of the stream off of Canaan Mountain and the way Great Laurel dim down the sound to make it sound a bit like an engine.

Keyserkill State Forest is 1,169 acres sprawling along the hills outside of Blenheim, south of Middleburgh. It is bordered by Gates Hill State Forest to the north.The Keyserkill runs in a gully along Keyserkill Road, where a small primative campsite tucked along the creek. A similiar campsite can be found along Coon Den Road.

The amount of rail infrastructure remaining around Cumberland and this part of the Alleghenies is impressive, but then again, coal made a lot of it possible.

While not a lot of color on the lower peaks, it was still a beautiful early October Day looking down from the Allegheny Front at the lower peaks towards North River Notch and Petersburgh, West Virginia.
