The gold standard for summer has still have to be 2020. While it was a werid year with the COVID and the Piseco Powley Road being closed south of Brayhouse Bridge due to the Halloween 2019 storm, it was amazing by all the weeks and long weekends I spent remote working in the Adirondacks, experiencing far more nights in the wilderness than I ever would have otherwise.

"The full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full-growth mode at this time," as The Old Farmer's Almanac says. "Bucks shed and regrow their antlers each year, producing a larger and more impressive set as the years go by."
