Good morning! Where did November go?
Still haven’t heard about my truck tires yet, I’ve paid for them and they said it would be a week. Today my inspection expires so I’m taking my truck off the road until they arrive so I hope it won’t be long.
Mostly cloudy and 21 degrees in Delmar, NY. β Calm wind. There is a dusting of snow on the ground. β Things will start to thaw out at around 11 am. π‘οΈ
I will call the shop this afternoon π to see what is going on with the tires if they don’t call first. I was going to call yesterday but I didn’t want to be a pest. I just want this long, expensive nightmare to be over.
Tonight after work I am going to go to the store πand make sure I have enough groceries and supplies for the next week to minimize inconvenience of not having a vehicle. I also want to wash the truck before parking it. Not driving will save on fuel β½ for sure. Didn’t even get a half tank of gas for $40 when I got gas on Saturday.
Up early again this morning, π taking the early bus π in so I can walk the Plaza. That said I don’t want to make too big of a deal about being an early riser and get put on the early morning shift at work. Some people really enjoy getting up early. I don’t but getting to bed at before 8 or 9 pm nightly means that I’m up at 5 am or so shortly thereafter. Truth be told I sleep much better on that schedule.
Maybe my biggest mistake was to embrace standard time in years past. I find I sleep far better when it’s early to bed, early to rise. π Plus I don’t go to the library that often anymore because I don’t like wearing the muzzle. π·
Traffic is really backed up on Southern Boulevard π but I have a very aggressive bus driver, and he’s flying down the left lane, π rolling through reds and passing the commuters on by. He must have a tight schedule. π
That said, I think I remember seeing this driver as a bus rodeo winner on CDTA Facebook π₯ so he’s a real expert at keeping the buses moving. And did we move – despite the heavy traffic we made it from the Park and Ride on Elm πto the Concourse in 9 minutes, working us through traffic like a fine sports car. π
There is a strong east breeze and an air inversion so the air tastes like hydrogen sulfide π from the Dunn Dump and probably all that rotting gypsum wall board. π§
By walking πΆ laps around the Plaza this morning and the walk to the park and ride I should be at 6,000 steps by nine o’clock when work starts. Then if I do short walk at lunch and the park and ride home π‘ I’ll have my ten thousand in for the day without doing an evening walk this evening. π Walking home in the dark plus the cold makes want to skip my evening walk.
