Wisconsin Partial Recount Is Done: Biden Gains 87 Votes : Biden Transition Updates : NPR

A partial recount in Wisconsin concluded Sunday with President-elect Joe Biden's winning margin over President Trump increasing by 87 total votes.

Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell told reporters Sunday that Trump netted a gain of 45 votes in the county, which includes the capital Madison. That followed Friday's completed recount in the state's most populous county, Milwaukee, where out of roughly 460,000 ballots cast, Biden made a net gain of 132 votes on review.

The results offer unwelcome news for Trump, who lost to Biden in Wisconsin by roughly 20,000 votes, and lost the national popular vote by more than 6 million.

Kerosene

The smell of the kerosene furnace in a house in Fort Hunter reminds me of my childhood growing up down from the road of the mobile home that heated with kerosene. Definitely a distinctive smell, not all that pleasant.

Black Smoke in Tribes Hill

Looking across the Mohawk River there was an intense but brief cloud of black smoke coming from Tribes Hill. At first I thought it was a house fire but it looks more like a controlled burn that got a little blacker than expected. Maybe too much diesel and silage wrap to start a brush pile up on a farm outside town. No sirens though and the cloud of black smoke quickly disappeared. In Rural Penna that would just be a typical Sunday afternoon.

A Warm November day

My favorite time of the year is a warm, blue sky November day. I like the browns and grays of the land, the long shadows the honking of geese and the blast of shotguns in hunting season. The earthy smell of farm country, the views revealed as the leaves are gone exposing new views.

Mega Solar

I am really not convinced that these mega solar industrial solar facilities β˜€οΈ popping up in the Mohawk Valley really are that great for the environment. While it might give the liberal politicians something to brag about, I’m not convinced yet that they are displacing much fossil fuels or reducing climate change. And I think these tariff schemes that that the marketers are selling to green minded consumers are just scams.

I do think there is benefits both to the grid, homeowners and the environment for roof top solar but that’s a vastly different beast then these industrial solar facilities that are gobbling up forest and farm land and polluting my social media feeds with their scammy advertising.
