I love Bernie Sanders but we really need a president under 65, preferably closer to 35 like Obama. Our country needs fresh ideas, new thinking - not ideas from the era of the Vietnam War. I understand people want experience but at some point people should retire and enjoy their final years in leisure and let the younger generation take over.
I've noticed that purple and fushia have become very popular in recent years for lighting buildings, especially night clubs and hotels. There are some psychological reasons why. Purple is an easy color to implement, you just pull the red and blue channel to high with a RGB LED string. No PWM is needed unlike most other colors that require a precise mix between the channels.
I think county government is a waste of money, not worth celebrating.
I would rather see the state take over all county functions. Most local governments just implement existing state laws. Local governing should be non political, there is really no need for elected officials on the local level. Politicans don't pave roads or repair street lights, government employees who couls efficiently work for the state do.
I know I won't be celebrating 50 years of the county legislature. We would save so much money if all local government was eliminated.
For my next Arduino project I am going to build an inexpensive GPS logger that I will use in my truck to record my road trips, so I can look back at which roads I took, how fast I drove, how many miles, etc. This explains the basics of how to use the Neo-6M board that I will plug into one of Arduino Nano boards that I have along with a MicroSD writer card. I expect with all of those hardware, plus a little bit of code, I will have a GPS recording device for under $20. Will be a fun project, and great to be able to look back on my trips. I might evenutally also mount one with a battery, that I could put in the backpack for skiing, hiking, or kayaking.
