Good evening. Currently 56 degrees under bright moonlight. The nights are definitely getting cooler as fall progresses. Frogs continue to sing their song as I sat over at my neighbor’s campfire. Tomorrow should be around 70 degrees and mostly sunny. Sunrise tomorrow is at 6:46 AM and sunset at 6:46 PM for exactly 12 hours of daylight.

Went down to the Elm Avenue Park for a while after dark when my laptop battery went dead. The battery is starting to go and will need replacement soon. Just wasting time on this dark evening, watching the Pennsylvania Elk Camera and researching my fall trip to West Virginia.

Off to bed early as tomorrow I’m going to the Indian Lake Moose Festival and leaf peeping at Moose River Plains with Mom and Dad. Going to be a long but fun day, hopefully with good color especially in the higher elevations. Certainly there are hints of color in the Albany area and hopefully much more in the Adirondacks. Should be great weather.

Happy Friday! Currently 72 degrees with circus clouds high above. Going to be a nice weekend. Sunset at 6:47 PM and twilight at 7:15. Look for 61 degrees at 9 PM and a Waxing Gibbous Moon that will be a full moon by Sunday.

Traffic is moderate and moving heading out of the city tonight. It’s Friday, no time for delay with the weekend now here. Some slowdown in the construction zone but no surprises there.

Should be a pleasant evening but get out fast, that sun is setting earlier everyday…

Good morning, Happy Friday! 58 degrees and sunny with some high clouds. Going to be another nice early autumn day, followed by a nice fall weekend. Looking forward to MooseFest this weekend and hopefully some really colorful leaves. Usually by this point they are at or even beyond peak color at Moose River Plains but this year has relatively warm.

Porch light worked well with turning on automatically at dusk. A simple little thing, but it sure beats coming home in the dark.

Continuing to work on planning my October trip. I didn’t think it was going to happen but now that I figured out a reasonable route, I think I can make it happen. Still a long trip down to West Virginia but I will avoid city traffic and break it down to reasonable sized increments.
