Headwaters of the White River

The Headwaters of the White River in Granville, VT is a popular scenic area for camping and exploring the White River, which is mostly a small brook at this elevation. Forest Road 55 in Granville is the main access road to this narrow, a one lane road that clings to the side of the deep ravine, and then drops into the ravine for a bit and follows the White River, before crossing it, and then winding along the south-side of the river. From there, you can see Vermont's lesser-known Presidential Mountains -- Mount Wilson, Mount Roosevelt, and Mount Cleveland.
