Good evening! Cloudy and 71 degrees in Cicero. There is a west-southwest breeze at 9 mph. The dew point is 63 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 3 am. A pretty nice day with some remarkably warm weather for late October. But it’s going to get cold and rainy for the weekend. But not every day can have perfect weather, and today was a blessing. I got in a great walk before work and managed to miss the worse of the rain on my way home.

Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. The record low of 20 occurred back in 1974.

Waning Gibbous Moon tonight with 77% illuminated.Β The Last Quarter Moon is on Friday night with chance of showers expected. The Full β€œBeaver” Moon is on the night of Sunday, November 20th.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, with a high of 67 degrees at 5pm. Eight degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 55 at 6am. Light west wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. The record high of 79 was set in 1963.

Not a particularly nice weekend on tap. Saturday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Sunday, a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 38 at 4pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 57 degrees.

In four weeks on November 15 the sun will be setting at 4:39 pm (Standard Time), which is 1 hour and 35 minutes earlier then tonight. The average high is 48 degrees, and the record for that date is 74 degrees was set back in 1993.

There are 19 days, 23 hours and 23 minutes until the polls close in NY State on Election Day.

George Amedork

Senator George Amedore (46th SD) just sent me a letter, asking me to vote for him. Only one problem. I live in Neil Breslin’s district, the 44th SD. Not even the right township. Apparently he sent absentee letters to everybody who requested a ballot in Albany County.

Even if he didn’t know what towns he represented, he could have gone to row “AF” in the TeamSQL export from the Board of Elections, and pulled out the voters not marked as “46”.
