October 26, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. Despite the dark morning, I’m up and going. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ I think it’s a pay week, so good motivation to get going. ๐Ÿ’ต Plus next week we get to sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด in one more hour with the time change. ๐Ÿ•’ Five weeks to Cyber Monday ๐Ÿ›๏ธ and Beaver Moon ๐ŸŒ•. Rain showers and 40 degrees in Delmar, NY. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ There is a southeast breeze at 5 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Friday around 8 pm. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Kind of a chilly, wet morning but I woke up early and got some coffee โ˜• going. A very dark for one more Monday until we set the clock back for extra daylight in the morning but very dark evenings ๐ŸŒƒ ahead. Happens every year. That’s called changing the way time, something all the cranks hate but I don’t like going to work in the dark. ๐Ÿฎ I had to walk to the store this morning to get milk ๐Ÿฅ› for the coffee. One benefit to living in the land of the suburbanite.

It’s a rainy morning โ˜” with the drizzle but I’m out for my morning walk๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธbecause I didn’t get out last night. One advantage to walking in the rain, no joggers ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธto run you over.

Soon I expect to be working downtown every day, so on days I don’t have to wear my suit ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ผ, I hope to be taking the express bus ๐ŸšŒ downtown. The walk to the park and ride ๐Ÿšhelps to clear my mind. Plus, it’s a one stop trip from the Park and Ride to the Emperors Plaza. ๐Ÿš„ On a nice day, the views of the mountains and Plaza are nice.

Today will have showers likely before 11am, then a chance of sprinkles between 11am and 4pm, then a chance of showers or sprinkles after 4pm. Cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 49 degrees at 2pm. Seven degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 12th. South wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, remaining cloudy in the afternoon. The high last year was 58 degrees. The record high of 78 was set in 1963. There was a dusting of snow in 1997.โ„

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:40 pm with sun having an altitude of 34.7ยฐ from the due south horizon (-36.1ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 8.7 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 5:18 pm with the sun in the west-southwest (247ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (254ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 5:57 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 2 seconds with dusk around 6:24 pm, which is one minute and 26 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the Waxing Gibbous ๐ŸŒ” Moon in the southeast (129ยฐ) at an altitude of 21ยฐ from the horizon, 247,072 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 6:59 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and temperatures around 49 degrees. There will be a south-southeast breeze at 7 mph. Tomorrow will have 10 hours and 30 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 38 seconds over today.

Tonight will have showers likely, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 42 degrees at 6am. Six degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 9th. South wind 6 to 8 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became light rain by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 47 degrees. The record low of 21 occurred back in 1950.

Back in 1970, Muhammad Ali faces off against Jerry Quarry in Atlanta, Georgia for the first time after Ali’s three-year hiatus from evading to be drafted in the Vietnam War. ๐ŸฅŠGood for him, the Vietnam War was evil ๐Ÿ˜ˆ.

A picture perfect weekend on tap. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Saturday, sunny, with a high near 48. Sunday, a chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Typical average high for the weekend is 54 degrees.

I am looking at the weekend forecast ๐Ÿ”ญ ๐ŸŒž but the real question ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ is when will the rain and snow ๐ŸŒจ depart on Friday and how truly cold โ„ will it be for camping if I go out to Brookfield and do some small game hunting ๐Ÿฟ ๐Ÿ”ซ and enjoying the woods. ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ

One month ๐Ÿ“… from now will be Thanksgiving ๐Ÿฆƒ when the sun will be setting at 4:24 pm with dusk at 4:56 pm (Standard Time).

Good morning! Today 5:30 PM Sunset 🌆. Cloudy and 23 degrees at the Elm Ave Park & Ride – CDTA. โ˜ Maybe a few breaks or sun to the south. There is a west-northwest breeze at 6 mph. 🍃. There is a dusting of snow on the ground. โ˜ƒ Cold the next few days. Things will start to thaw out at Saturday around 10 am. 🌡๏ธ

Taking a hybrid bus 🚍 in today on Delmar Bypass. The hybrids are nice on the expressway, the regen means they brake very smoothly at the red-lights. 🚦 Other than that pretty gray, a bunch of bomb trains at the port 💣. Commercial truck check point on Elm Avenue by the park 🚚, they usually do that once a month. Traffic is a bit backed up going through the plaza which is unusual as it’s not a session day. I am not concerned, I have plenty of time to clock in on time. 🕒 Yesterday, I actually made it in time but I had to run in an I clocked in only by seconds. Salary vs hourly has it advantages and disadvantages. I do like having my evenings back.

Today will have a slight chance of snow showers before 10am. Partly sunny 🌞, with a high of 28 degrees at 2pm. Eight degrees below normal. Northwest wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning, which became mostly sunny by afternoon. The high last year was 28 degrees. The record high of 66 was set in 1930. 11.2 inches of snow fell back in 1977.โ„

In 2019, we had light snow in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 28 degrees. The record low of -10 occurred back in 2015.

A picture perfect weekend on tap. 😎 Saturday, mostly sunny, with a high near 39. West wind 6 to 9 mph. Sunday, sunny, with a high near 47. Typical average high for the weekend is 36 degrees. I get should help melt away a lot of the snow. I think we are good for at least one more snow storm come March.

Regardless, I think it should be a nice weekend for the Pine Bush Hike. 🚶 And one week closer to spring. 🌸 Only a month until the calendar says spring although we all know the winter weather can stick around for several weeks longer, especially up north. Sunday I might go skiing 🎿 if the snow ain’t too sloppy.

🌹🌻🌼Only 28 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!🌹🌻🌼

One month 📅 from now will be Spring 🌷 when the sun will be setting at 7:08 pm with dusk at 7:36 pm (Daylight Savings Time). The average high temperature is 32 degrees, with a record high of 61 in 1895.

Good morning! Happy February Save the Pine Dinner 🦋! ITwo weeks to Average High is 40 โ˜€๏ธ. Mostly cloudy โ˜ and 34 degrees at the Delaware Plaza Park and Ride. 🅿 There is a west-northwest breeze at 15 mph. 🍃. There is a inch of snow on the ground. โ˜ƒ ๏ธTemperatures will drop below freezing at around 2 pm. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

This morning I got a haircut 💈 and dropped off my blazers to get dry cleaned. 👔No electric bus 🚍 for me today, just a regular old diesel Gillig 4099. After the Pine Bush dinner 🌲I will pick up some groceries and then drive home from the park and ride. I’ll probably be in a bit late today but if necessary I’ll stay a few minutes after five to make the clock happy. Seems like this bus always runs late.

Last night I decided against going to the store 🏬 and washing my truck. 🚿 I thought it wasn’t raining very hard and there still was a lot of salt on the roads. I figured I can just stock up on enough supplies tonight after the Pine Bush dinner. I believe the Pine Bush hike is Saturday 🚶, I can get the rest of what I need for the weekend after that. So instead I stayed home, did some reading 📖.

Today will be mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 35 degrees at 8am. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around February 18th. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 24 degrees. The record high of 66 was set in 1981. 11.4 inches of snow fell back in 1972.โ„

Solar noon 🌞 is at 12:10 pm with sun having an altitude of 36ยฐ from the due south horizon (-34.8ยฐ vs. 6/21). Today will have 10 hours and 44 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 45 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a slight chance of snow showers between 11pm and 3am. Mostly cloudy 🌧, with a low of 14 degrees at 6am. Four degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around January 27th. Maximum wind chill around 9 at 6am; Northwest wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2019, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 9 degrees. The record low of -16 occurred back in 1966.

A picture perfect weekend on tap. 😎 Saturday, partly sunny, with a high near 40. Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 47. Typical average high for the weekend is 36 degrees. Based on how much snow there is up north and how much there is out west, I’ll probably skip camping this weekend as it’s going to be a sloppy mess in a tent and finding parking 🅿 can be difficult with the snow banks as high as they are.

🌹🌻🌼Only 29 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!🌹🌻🌼

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Average High is 40 โ˜€๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 5:48 pm with dusk at 6:17 pm. On that day in 2019, we had snow showers, partly sunny and temperatures between 34 and 17 degrees. We hit a record high of 59 back in 1919.

Snow Covered Bushes

January 8, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Bubble Bath Day ๐Ÿงผ! I think you have to have a bathtub for that, my landlord took out the faucet and honestly the stopper hasn’t worked for years in my apartment. ๐Ÿ›€ Not that I’m a big fan of bubble baths, ๐Ÿ—ฐbut maybe it would fun if I had a sauna some day on my land. And, no I probably wouldn’t bother with biodegradable soap. I think that’s kind of silly — as long as your not dumping your soapy water in a creek it’s not a big deal. Sure, some of the commercial surfactants might not be organic, but they do breakdown over time. This morning is partly sunny and 33 1/3rd degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜€ Calm wind. There is a dusting of snow on the ground. โ˜ƒ Not a half bad day, although the sun angle is still so low, it’s still the golden hour, not even six percent yet angle. Looks like there is some fog ๐ŸŒ in the city. I’d say it’s smoke but they tore down the ANSWERS smoke stack although the other fracked gas steam plant is still operating. ๐Ÿญ

Taking the local bus ๐Ÿš to work, as I don’t like walking ๐Ÿšถ down to the express bus with a suit and tie on. ๐Ÿ‘”The dress shoes have a limited life and who wants to get all sweaty and salt covered in one’s suit. This earlier bus is a lot more crowded, especially compared to the express but I might actually be late taking the express due to all the protestors crowding into the Empire Plaza parking ๐Ÿ…ฟ garage, slowing traffic. Sitting and listening ๐Ÿ‘‚ to Don McLean’s American Pie.

Today will have a chance of snow showers, mainly after 10am. The snow could be heavy at times. Partly sunny ๐ŸŒจ, with a high of 36 degrees at 12pm. Six degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around February 19th. Breezy, with a light and variable wind becoming west 19 to 24 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 41 degrees. The record high of 60 was set in 2008. 8.3 inches of snow fell back in 1923.โ„

I’ll be first to say I’m glad I have nothing to do with the legislative session this year – it’s going to be a wild one. ๐ŸซThe winds of change are in Albany this year and I’m quite happy in my basement office protected from the storm. Plus I get to go home at five o’clock, so no late nights waiting for and riding the bus home half awake. Plus no managing gun votes on my birthday ๐ŸŽ‚, that was not a fun day last year, but at least I got paid and saved for a better tomorrow. It’s not only the cattle farmers ๐Ÿ„ I follow on the YouTube that shovel manure for a living, even on their birthday. ๐Ÿ’ฉ Gotta make a living whether you live in South Dakota or the Albany.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:03 pm with sun having an altitude of 25.1ยฐ from the due south horizon (-45.7ยฐ vs. 6/21). The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 3:54 pm with the sun in the southwest (232ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (240ยฐ) starting at 4:36 pm and lasts for 3 minutes and 22 seconds with dusk around 5:10 pm, which is one minute and one second later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:46 pm. At sunset, look for snow showers ๐ŸŒจ and temperatures around 29 degrees. The wind chill around sunset will be 15. โ˜ƒ๏ธ Breezy, 24 mph breeze โ›… from the west-northwest with gusts up to 45mph. Today will have 9 hours and 13 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 11 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a chance of snow showers, mainly before 7pm. Partly cloudy ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 12 degrees at 6am. Three degrees below normal. Maximum wind chill around 3 at 1am; Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. In 2019, we had mist in the evening, which became light rain by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 32 degrees. The record low of -20 occurred back in 1968.

Not quite as wet this weekend as earlier forecasts. โ˜” Saturday, rain, mainly after 1pm. High near 59. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Sunday, a chance of rain before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Typical average high for the weekend is 30 degrees. It will save on the heat and I have no real outdoor plans. I’m doing that filming ๐Ÿ“น for the Resin Adam’s documentary. ๐Ÿ“„ That said, I’m not convinenced even on Sunday it will be nice enough to go for a walk somewhere in the wilderness. ๐Ÿฆ‰

๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผOnly 71 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ

Every day is one closer to the mud and black flies of spring. ๐Ÿœ Trout fishing ๐ŸŽฃ and later sunsets and warmer nights in spring. And more nights in the wilderness. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Sunlit Trees

December 18, 2019 Night

Good evening! Cold, cloudy, windy around 20 degrees at the One Commerce Plaza but feels much colder waiting for the bus. โ„ There is a west-northwest breeze at 14 mph. 🍃. The current wind chill is 7. There are 4 inches of snow on the ground. โ˜ƒ ๏ธThings will start to thaw out at Sunday around 11 am. 🌡๏ธ

The Pine Bush Dinner 🌲 was good but I started feeling so exhausted and achy by the end of it. 😴 Maybe it just was the thought of waiting outside for the bus in the cold around 9 pm. So I left early. It’s not like I haven’t heard the same old music 🎶 acts before, after 15 years or more of involvement the holiday parties all start to seem alike. Cavagahan’s granddaughter is a very talented folk singer. 🎸 I sure hope that the Lyme isn’t coming back, making me sick – I feel so awful by the end of the evening. 🐜 Only have a day or two of the doxycycline left and then if I sicker after the holidays I’ll have to visit my doctor 😷 again.

Once I get home I’ll probably take my doxycycline 💊 and I will probably retire to bed. I’m hoping after some sleep I’ll be feeling better. I left the heat turned up before I left for work so I expect it should be comfortable and warm when I get home. 🏡 I’m glad the doxycycline is almost done, as it’s a pain to remember even if it no longer makes me feel sick in the morning.

Tonight will have a slight chance of snow showers before 1am. Partly cloudy 🌧, with a low of 5 degrees at 6am. 15 degrees below normal. Maximum wind chill around -10 at 6am; Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2018, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 16 degrees. The record low of -13 occurred back in 1973.

Tonight will have a Waning Crescent Moon 🌘 with 39% illuminated with the moon rising at 11:40 pm. The moon will rise at 12:00 am. The New Moon is next Wednesday. The is on Wednesday night. The sun will rise at 7:20 am with the first light at 6:47 am, which is 39 seconds later than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 14 hours and 57 minutes of darkness, an increase of 15 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 18 degrees at 2pm. 17 degrees below normal. Maximum wind chill around -10 at 6am; Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 37 degrees. The record high of 54 was set in 1895. 7.8 inches of snow fell back in 2008.โ„

A bitterly cold โ„ day tomorrow. Not sure if I’m going to walk down to the express bus 🚍 or take the local in. I really do like the walk but not if that wind is really biting like tonight.

I ordered an USB 18650 battery 🔋 charger on Amazon today and are going to pick up an extra pair of batteries to use with my LED lantern 🏮 mom and dad are getting me for Christmas. I probably eventually will also get an 18650 based LED flashlight though my existing ones work fine and truth is I could use ordinary NiMH rechargable batteries in my existing flashlights too.

I am looking forward to my camping trip in two weeks โ›บ but I wonder how muddy it will be. It might be above freezing in the day time which might mean not a lot of snow but a lot of mud. I’m still thinking about the Finger Lakes National Forest but if it looks like I’ll only be able to camp for three nights due to the weather I might stay somewhere closer to home.

I do need to test my propane camp lantern 🏮 that I cleaned this weekend. I’m thinking it will work well now but I haven’t hooked up mantles or tried it out. I’m trying to figure out what I can hang it from to test it out back, not sure if I have a good place near my apartment to string a rope. I’ve thought about getting one of those lantern posts that people use but I’ve heard their unstable especially when the tank is near empty and often break or bend when dropped.

I have to reorder my contact lens 👀 online. My prescription is probably expired, actually it is but I know they don’t actually stop you from buying it online. I would have ordered them last summer when I had a valid script but I knew worse comes to worse my insurance now partially pays for yearly exams for contacts. That said, I hate going to my eye doctor, they’re jerks, always trying to upsell you and charge you for extras. 👓 I’m sure they work on a commission and low profit margins but the local place I usually go to is the absolute worse. I’ve been to other eye places but both of them have subsequently closed.

I often think some of the zero waste โ™ป stuff is kind of silly but I guess it’s probably good behavior if you live in a city and are an urbanite. I’d rather focus on plainly consuming less, dumping the occasional apple core in with the gut pile or manure pile 💩 on my land, burn the majority of whatever I buy that is packaged 🔥 and recycle the cans and glass as a last resort. โ™ป I want to use wood for heat and a minimal solar system for small electrical loads and a few lights but nothing big and fancy. I guess I’m not into saving the earth 🌎 but doing what is right for myself and my land. I want to see wild land remain wild 🐺 and not turned into luxury parks for the ulta wealth. I don’t see much difference in what the zero waste folks are proposing and overall waste generation 🚮 – they’re not willing to attack consumerism, take out food 🍲 or waste more generally in our lives. As it stands right now, I buy a lot in bulk and a lot of frozen fruit and vegetables do my actual food waste is minuscule and most of the plastic wrappers probably get burnt or something like that. 🔥

In four weeks on January 15 the sun will be setting at 4:46 pm,🌄 which is 23 minutes and 5 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had mostly cloudy skies, some snow showers and temperatures between 33 and 10 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 30 and 14 degrees. The record high of 65 degrees was set back in 1995.

Looking ahead, Bubble Bath Day 🧼 is in 3 weeks, National Bird Day 🐦 is in 4 weeks, Winnie the Pooh Day 🍯 is a month away, 37th Birthday 🎉 is in 6 weeks, National Drink Wine Day 🍷 is in 2 months, Average High is 40 โ˜€๏ธ is in 11 weeks, April Fools Day 🤡 is in 15 weeks, Pink Moon 🌕 is in 16 weeks, Tax Day 💰 is in 17 weeks, Average High is 60 🌼 is in 4 months, Earth Day 🌎 is in 18 weeks, Flower Moon 🌕 is in 5 months and Inauguration Day 2021 👴🏻 is in 57 weeks.

Ice Pattern

December 13, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Yeap, it’s Friday the 13th! 👺 Kind of a dark day with the clouds โ˜ and it’s expected to rain later. Mathematicians say that 13 is not a particularly odd or suspicious number. It’s not like zero which is a truly whacky number 🔢. Three weeks to Latest Sunrise of the Winter 🌄๏ธ. Mostly cloudy and 24 degrees at the Elm Ave Park & Ride – CDTA. โ˜ There is a south-southeast breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. The lack of sun and the moisture in the air makes it feel a bit cold. 👐 My hands feel a bit dry and sore from the cold, might have to get my big jar of hand lotion out when home. 🏡 There are 3 inches of snow on the ground. โ˜ƒ ๏ธThings will start to thaw out at around 9 am. 🌡๏ธ

Today will have a chance of rain, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy 🌧, with a high of 37 degrees at 2pm. Typical for today. Southeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. The record high of 58 was set in 1984. 14 inches of snow fell back in 1915.โ„

Today is the holiday party at work 🎄 and I baked brownies for it. 🎂 It was a bit heavy to bring down to the Park and Ride but I always enjoy the walk and the express bus 🚍 is a much nicer way to get to work. That said there is a big traffic jam getting into the Empire Plaza this morning but I’m hopeful I will make it to work on time as I still have twenty minutes to get into the office 🏢 and clock in. 🕒

The sun will set at 4:22 pm with dusk around 4:54 pm, which is 9 seconds later than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for rain 🌧 and temperatures around 37 degrees. There will be a calm wind. Today will have 9 hours and 5 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 39 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will rain. 🌧 Low of 37 degrees at 6pm. 15 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 26th. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 100%. It got down to 32 degrees. The record low of -5 occurred back in 1898.

Back in 1962, NASA launches Relay 1, the first active repeater communications satellite in orbit. 📡 It would be the start of an era of global 🌐 communications although most data uses fiber optic cables rather than satellite as it’s faster and cheaper.

Tomorrow will rain. 🌧 High of 44 degrees at 1pm. Eight degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 26th. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. A year ago, we had light snow in the morning, which became cloudy by afternoon. Looking ahead to Sunday, mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. West wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Typical average high for the weekend is 36 degrees.

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until Latest Sunrise of the Winter 🌄๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 4:34 pm with dusk at 5:05 pm. On that day in 2019, we had snow showers, mostly cloudy skies with mild temperatures between 43 and 32 degrees. I’ve heard predictions that this winter may be cooler โ„ but not as cold as once was common. Typically, the high temperature is 31 degrees. We hit a record high of 61 back in 1913.

Acra Point and Bativa Kill Valley

November 14, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. Two weeks to Thanksgiving 🦃. Turkey day is late this year. 🍗 Going to leave a lot of people hungry especially the big retailers. Mostly cloudy and 22 degrees at the Elm Ave Park & Ride – CDTA. โ˜ There is a south breeze at 7 mph. 🍃. Maybe a dusting in a few places but for the most part the snow locally has bit the bullet and probably has lead to a poisoning. โ˜ƒ ๏ธThings will start to thaw out at around 11 am. 🌡๏ธ

It’s kind of gray out this morning with some warm colors in the sky to the south. โ˜ Colder then I expected because the heat is on in my apartment and it’s quite comfortable. No warmth from the sun. It just feels like November. Tomorrow is halfway through the month. Traffic is backed up going through the Plaza but I still haven’t think I’ll make it in time to work. โŒš I always build extra time into my schedule with the express bus 🚍.

Today will be mostly cloudy 🌥, with a high of 36 degrees at 2pm. 13 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around December 14th. That’s a big improvement from yesterday.
