This is along the rail trail. Always a great, quiet hike down in the gorge, but especially in the autumn there is never enough time to fully explore it.

Looking across the Red Creek to Alder Run Trail which was impassable without getting quite wet due to high water levels in the Red Creek. While many of the colors were faded, there was still some nice color in the heath, it's bright red color emblematic of the Dolly Sods in the highest locations along the Allegheny Front.

Hiked back to Big Alderbed today. While they've re-blazed a lot of the trail and cut down some of the timber across the trail, maintance and blazing seems to stop when you get the section that cross the East Canada Creek.

On the trail off of Kling Road, there is a few open sections of the Black Creek Marsh that have fantastic views of the escarpment.

These signs at on almost every County and Local road on the Tug Hill Plateau (Oswego, Lewis Counties). I've seen them in downtown Altmar/Sandy Creek/Adams. Many roads have posted ATV speed limits -- 25 MPH on rural stretches, 15 MPH in town. Don't tell anybody in Albany-land, as they like to believe ATV use on roads is only for minimal crossing of roads to other trails. Then again, all kinds to stuff happens on Tug Hill Plateau, that the folks back in Albany really don't want to know about.
