I have taken down camp except for the flags, the hammock and putting the kayak on the truck. Then I will get changed, head down to Speculator, paddle the Sacanadaga River and Kunjamunk, and then go for a quick swim at Spectaculator Beach.

Back at camp. Cleared out for a while now more clouds are pushing in. There is a ton of dragon flies flying around. I will definitely miss the view from this campsite come tomorrow.

Cooked up eggs, thought about where to hike today and it started to rain. Rain stopped put hammock back up and I’m just swinging back and forth. The clouds sure are dreary. I was thinking about hiking back to Pillsbury Lake but I don’t want to get caught in a downpour. Seems like the story of my whole summer.

Had some blue skies late in the day for a while then it clouded up. Some stars but not great. πŸŒƒ Some stars now but not great. I’m thinking about it more and I think they saw my camp flag and light strings rather than the laser firefly lights. It really doesn’t show that far across the valley even though in the darkness much more visible than at home. πŸŽ†πŸŽ‡ Lit off a few more fireworks but now I’m almost done with those. Almost time for bed.

I guess somebody saw the laser firefly show I was projecting on the trees and mountains across the way and shined a flash light from the other side of the valley. Kind of funny I didn’t think the throw was that far – maybe 500 yards but I guess it’s very visible in the dark valley below.
