Good afternoon! Today is a beautiful Palm Sunday. Next Sunday is Easter. Mostly sunny and 66 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a southwest breeze at 5 mph. Nice!  It warmed up to quickly from a relatively cold start this morning. With my heat off, it was both cold last night when I got home and when I awoke but with things warming up to near 70 today, I wasn’t inclined to turn it on. Now I have the windows open and the birds are a chirping. The fresh air is great. 

Today will be sunny, with a high of 69 degrees at 4pm. 14 degrees above normal. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Going to be a very nice day. A year ago, we had mostly cloudy skies and a high of 46 degrees. The record high of 77 was set in 1991. 13.3 inches of snow fell back in 2000. This is the latest major snowfall recorded in Albany. 

The sun will set at 7:31 pm with dusk around 8:00 pm, which is one minute and 9 seconds later than yesterday. Today will have 13 hours and 9 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 50 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low of 43 degrees at 5am. Eight degrees above normal. South wind 5 to 8 mph. In 2016, it got down to 23 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The record low of 21 occurred back in 1974.

Slept about 13 hours after the 36 1/2 hour marathon session at work, but heck the state passed the budget or at least the Assembly did. I can relax today knowing I won’t be on call, and won’t have to wear my suit to work and can walk down to the Park and Ride and take the express bus both ways to work. I like to say I worked 9 to six, and well starting on Friday through Saturday. 

More waffles for breakfast today. They were pretty good. Maybe I’ll make eggs though tomorrow if my parents got eggs they can give to me. They often have surplus in the spring time. 

Did some cleaning in the bathroom and kitchen which had gotten fairly dirty while I was at work and rushing around do much. Did some more vacuuming but alas there is always more to do. 

Once I get off my ass again and get in the shower, I’m going to relocate the inverter and permanently wire up the low voltage disconnect. I got to run to the store and pickup some heat shrink and return the cable I didn’t use. I am not going to do the truck cap lighting or swap the accessory battery until next weekend. 

I’m off to the store now to buy some hardware I need to connect up the wires and shrink wrap. Also need to buy desert for Sunday dinner 

Checked the fluids in Big Red and they all look good when I opened the hood to. Still have some life left on the oil so I can hold off on the oil change for a while. Oil levels were fine. Mid week I’ll give Big Red a bath and maybe 

As previously noted, next Sunday is Easter when the sun will be setting at 7:39 pm with dusk at 8:08 pm. On that day in 2016, we had partly sunny skies and temperatures between 66 and 35 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 59 degrees. We hit a record high of 91 back in 2012.
