December 22, 2016 Morning

Dark out and snowing this morning. The snow isn’t that heavy but there is good glaze to make untreated surfaces slick, so use a little a little care this morning. The temperature is 31 degrees in but will push towards freezing as morning comes. Sunrise came and went but with the snow and weak sun angle, you wouldn’t know.

Today will have continued snow with rain mixing in as we head into noon, then a chance of rain between noon and 5pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high of 39 degrees at 2pm. Five degrees above normal. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. So it’s impossible that we will get a foot of snow today.

So Happy Thursday! And only 87 days and 15 odd hours remain to calendar spring. Enjoy the winter. Stay safe.
