February 11, 2016 Evening
Good evening. Currently there are light snow showers coming around and it’s breezy and 15 degrees in Albany. Wind chill values as low as -2. Blustery, with a northwest wind around 22 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. In other words, just plain cold. Although maybe not that cold by Minnesota standards but I’m soft by this warm winter in Albany.
Tonight we have a Waxing Cresent Moon with 25% illuminated. It will set at 8:47 pm. Pretty little sliver again tonight. Enjoy it from your pictures window with a cup of hot chocolate. Tonight will have isolated snow showers before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 6. Wind chill values as low as -4. In other words, cold. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
I carefully planned it out to avoid standing out a long time at the bus stop. There was a van broke down in the left lane by the Alfred Smith building but it got going with the help of Albany police. I grabbed the hot seat on the bus by the engine, so I’m plenty warm. Winter is cold and tomorrow is going to get colder.
I’m adding getting a flu shot to my list of things to do this weekend. I heard that there is more people getting the flu and it’s free under Obamacare. I’m over my cold now.
Gas is currently $1.91 on Glenmont Stewart’s. Remarkably cheap. I never thought gas would get this cheap.
Lately we have had the speed driver on the Voorheesville express bus. Driving in the left lane and taking full advantage of the gore, doesn’t phase her. She uses the left lane as long as possible and then makes sure to make a place for her bus in the right lane. It gets me home promptly and so far she hasn’t hit any other cars on the expressway.
In four weeks on March 10 the sun will be setting at 5:56 pm, which is 35 minutes later then today. And hopefully not so cold. There are 3 months, 26 days until Best Friends Day. when the sun will be setting at 8:31 pm. The mercury will be dramatically expanded at that point or so I hope.
