Cold, Grey, Hump Day

Good Morning! Happy Hump Day. A fairly cold and gray day today. At least we are missing the snow. One week from today will be April 2nd, and in five weeks it will be May. Now, that’s something to look forward to. Winter may put up a hell of a fight, but it can’t last forever.

The regular, big car insurance payment for the next six months is due on Friday. That sucks, but it’s life and it’s also a Friday.

The weekend looks quite nice at this point, at least if you listen to the optimistic forecasts. Others talk about rain. Talk about optimism in the sense of the Moose River Plains trip I took last Memorial Day, where it rained and snowed for four days straight.

The bus ride to work hasn’t changed much. It’s still nice to be taking the express bus downtown in the mornings. Albany still is the gritty, wintery brown world that is the norm from mid-October to late-April.
