With the snow and my change of plans for Christmas I had thought about riding in or even busing but traffic is going to be light today, my bike needs repairs and I just feel like driving in ain’t the end of the world especially as I plan to leave work early today.

Merry Christmas Eve. 🎅 Not raining like it did a few years back on Christmas Eve and things are quite white but whatever. There is a bit more work to wrap up today, it’s my last day in the office 🏢 for the year, I’m off the rest of the week through New Years Day. I’m still not fully sure what my plans are after Christmas but I do want to get away for at least three to six nights. 🏕️

There is more snow ☃️ in a lot of places I was thinking about and I’m not sure I want to drive all the way out to the Finger Lakes. I was thinking Long Pond then head north to the Horse Camp 🐴 around New Years Eve but I’m concerned there is too much snow at Long Pond plus there is limited firewood there 🪵 and it can be a bit of a dump. Might end up just doing the Horse Camp for three nights in the middle of the end of the week and coming home for NYE. 🎇 Kind of bored with the horse camp though. East Branch Scandaga and Newcomb was another option but probably too much snow at this point. I was thinking I could camp the second half of the week at the Vanderwhacker Creek along NY 28N. 🌲 But I would rather have cell service both for emergencies but mostly for entertainment. 📺
