Daily Update – May 11, 2022
Good morning! Happy Hump Day π«
I’m sure it will be another real busy day like so many are lately. It just feels like I’m drinking out of fire hose, then I come home, go to sleep and it starts all over again. That’s at least the story of yesterday.
Sunny and 43 degrees in Delmar, NY. π Calm wind.
Another nice spring morning π· out for the morning walk a little bit before 6:30 am breakfast. No evening walk πΆ yesterday as it was basically nine o’clock when I got home and I was tired. π΄
The days lately have been long π’ and it seems at time that work is all consuming. The money π΅ is good but inflation is high. But it has allowed me to step up my investing and the down markets do mean my dollar is going further.
I thought about heading out of town βΊ but with things being so hot and dry I’m not sure if I want a big raging fire plus I don’t have that much stuff to burn right now. Gas prices are so high β½ for my big jacked up truck π» and I’ll probably spend half my weekend working if it’s anything like last weekend.
Finally fixed the minor glitches and got most of my libraries recompiled for working with R. π₯ Every package I use had to be recompiled for R 4 and then anything not in CRAN I had to manually reinstall like ggsflabel for map labels. Then I had issues with ggtext and gridtext which make those fancy formatting of text for graphs and map titles πΊ. More annoying than anything, everything is back up and running and I was able to install. Since getting into R last fall I really use it for everything.
