Good Morning – November 21, 2021

Good morning! Happy Sunday.

Cloudy and 35 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ Calm wind. Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 8 pm. β˜ƒοΈ

As I usually do, woke up pretty early this morning, 😩 although not quite as early today as I was up until the late hour of 8:45 PM last night reading Thinking Small about the history of the Volkswagen, the Strength through Joy Car put together by Porche and the Nazis, which a few years later became a popular imported car due to it’s relatively low cost and thrifty nature. Interestingly enough, the early Kias have never had the same status as the early Volkswagen did in America.

Yesterday, I walked out to Five Rivers 🐸 and then down to the library. πŸ“š It was a pretty quiet day. First day of big game season in Southern Zone, some year I’ll participate when I own my own land. I’m making pretty decent money at my job now, especially with my new position, so that’s less far off then maybe a while back, but I still want to build up my savings a bit more. πŸ’° I always feel poor, but a lot of it is because I’m saving and investing so much.

This morning at 9 AM I am taking the truck to Mavis Tire to have the new 35s put on. They had the best price for the 35s, and they could get them in 3 days, so I ended up getting BFGs with them. ⚫ Monday Big Red gets inspected, and then at some point I need to get that shock bushing repaired. Maybe next week or the week after that I will get that repaired. I took the hub caps off so to save some time there — I’ll drop off the truck, go for a walk and pick up the truck. I really don’t want to get these tires, but knows the time, as they should last the remaining life of the vehicle. Sometimes you got to bite the bullet. πŸ”« πŸ˜‹ It’s cheaper then getting a new car, and I have the money, I tell myself.

Then I want to swing by the grocery store πŸ₯ž and get some maple syrup, blueberries, and cheese and other groceries before heading out to folks house for lunch at 1 PM. I am now doing lunch with the folks as I really don’t like driving home in the dark with so much traffic coming in the opposite direction.
